About Cheese Athletic
Founded in 2020 in the heart of Cheddar, Somerset, Cheese Athletic FC was the birth child of three young boys in the midst of COVID boredom. The club has seen success moving through the divisions, different games and even a name change (Fifa to EA FC) throughout it's relatively short life. Manager Ben Neave has said the club "Double taaaaapped" his heart and has taken the reigns at the club since it's inception. Club accountant, James Mannell, personally oversaw the move to our home, the Cheese Board, in 2020. Mannell said the £12.7B debt the club has was necessary to get the club started. Although this was under some dispute when Mannell apparently missed several payements early doors and was quoted saying "I pulled a Jack and forgot to drop the money lol". The Jack in question is club physio and knee specialist Jack Tillyer. Tillyer has also been a part of the club since the start. Although this came into question when former player Michael Le Tallec suffered a bruised elbow which club physio Tillyer mistook for elbow cancer. Le Tallec sadly passed away from Tillyer's attempt to cure the 'cancer' by being force fed McDonalds chips every hour, every day for 17 weeks. Tillyer said on the matter "it was an Osbad situation"
